A happy five year old accepting all that life brings his way. Born to a mother, child-like in many ways, is not able to care for him, his grandmother who had been taking care of them died and is now supported by his aunt. We do not know how he was burnt, he has scars in various parts of his body, including arms and legs, had his right leg partially amputated.
We were searching for the main road when Myrna called out “Zully, look over there!” I turned. What I saw changed my life…It took a moment for my mind to process the scene. I realized it wasn’t an animal, it a little boy with no legs, dragging himself down the hot dirt road with his bare hands.
Dayana comes from a very loving family in Panama, due to her parent’s economic circumstances, they were unable to afford a wheelchair for Dayana. She has been living with cerebral palsy since birth and unable to get around on her own.
