The Outdoors is for everyone, there are activities to be enjoyed by all, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, enjoying the waterways are just a few of these activities.

In Northwest Indiana we have been working with various partners to make these activities accessible for everyone.  These past few months we have been working with Lake Station’s Adrian Vera to install an accessible launch at Veterans Park, an ideal site visible from Route 20.

With the support of Dunes Learning Center, funding from Legacy Foundation, and community action led by a new non-profit, FIGHT, worked to raise the remaining funds needed.  Mission accomlished with a ribbon cutting ceelbration held on September 22, 2018.

A community resident stated that they had been talking of having somthing like this done for twenty-five years. Causes for Change helped them fulfill this dream.
