Chess Tournament in Gary, Indiana

Causes for Change and the Volunteer Office for Community Accessibility, Resource & Training (VOCARTNWI) is organizing a chess tournament, “Festival of the Senses” at the Lagoon Outlook Garden at Marquette Park for July 24th: to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the American Disabilities Act (ADA).

The community and visitors are invited to enjoy a beautiful universally designed garden that has come to be known as the Lagoon Outlook Garden, (LOG). We have been working on this outdoor space for the past three years with the support of the Miller Community Fund, Miller Garden Club and AARP together with individual donors and volunteers.

If you know of anyone that would be willing to take part and help run the tournament ask them to write to info@causesforChange.org If you the reader want to participate let us know by completing this application . Prizes will be given to the winner, runner up, and third place.

We are seeking sponsors of the event, local talents/artists/musicians/makers to fill this event with wonder, we reserve the right to decline due to the limited amount of space.
