Ecuador 2018

Preparations are being made by a team of five to travel to Loja, Salinas and Guayaquil, Ecuador during the weeks of March 26 – April 6, 2018.

Loja will be a new location for CCI to visit, this is an area where for many years it has been talked about, not certain what is truth or myth; however, we are preparing to see and hear for ourselves the stories of centenarians in Vilcabamba.

In visiting Salinas we will meet with staff and volunteers of the Melvin Jones School, a school for children and youth with disabilities, who are interested in establishing a sustainable gardening program. Meetings with mayors from the coastal region have also been scheduled.

In Guayaquil we will meet with the Director of a newly established university offering a degree in Disability and Education.

We will also have the opportunity to experience Easter in Ecuador, do  a little kayaking on the Pacific Ocean.
