Causes for Change International welcomes dignitaries from Ecuador

Chicago, IL – Zully JF Alvarado, founder and president of Causes for Change International (CCI) will be greeting twelve dignitaries from the provinces of Guayas and Manabi, Ecuador. CCI a non-profit, volunteer organization has been working to impact communities through partnerships, in the areas of health, education, training, leading to economic self-sufficiency with a focus on women, children and persons with disabilities.
The members of the delegation will have a wealth of opportunities to share regarding services in rehabilitation, independent living and advocacy programs, including policy development for and about persons with disabilities. They will meet with the president of Access Living, Marca Bristo; executive vice president of United Cerebral Palsy Seguin Services, Jim Haptonstahl; commissioner Mona Noriega from City of Chicago, Commission of Human Relations; and qualified professionals from Midwestern University and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. This will all be taking place starting Monday, September 8th through the 14th.
Following this exchange, a few weeks later, October 23 – 26th, a team of six professionals will travel to Guayaquil, Ecuador and present a two day conference titled: “Expanding Understanding of Accessible and Universal Design Concepts: Implications for Standardization, Policy Development and Inclusion of All”. These are all the exciting newest developments with Causes for Change, a non-profit organization who believes that it all starts with one…idea, one dream, one heart, one person.
