The Chicago Foundation for Women raises money to fund and support organizations that help women and girls. “We believe that when women and girls are secure, whole communities are made better. We improve the lives of women and girls through grants, advocacy, leadership development, and public and grantee education.” The CFW mission is to increase resources and opportunities for women and girls in the greater Chicago area. Since 1985, the CFW has given over 2,800 grants totaling more than $18 million and also helped women and girls become philanthropists.
